Being the founder member and Secretary-General (President) of RUMUN, I am responsible in overseeing that the club functions well and meets the expectations of every member if not more. Currently, I am studying Law (LLB) but have a deep rooted passion in International Law, Politics and Diplomacy. I have had a rich experience in MUN attending both the EAMUN and SAMUN representing Russia and S.Africa respectively. I have thus found MUN to be an extremely rewarding experience both socially and academic wise and definately stands out as one of excellent reputation. I would therefore like to officially welcome everyone to RUMUN regardless of course studied because it encompasses every field of social and academic structure.

I am the Sponsorship and Fundraising Officer. My role is to secure funds from local banks and businesses to support our travels and trips to National and International Conferences.
As Treasurer, I am responsible for managing RUMUN's finances and collecting membership fees. So any aspiring members should contact me to pay their membership fee.
My interest in the Model United Nations stems from my interest in politics in general. Specifically I am interested in political philosophy and contrasting political systems. The latter being what has primarily brought me to such an area of international politics.

Executive Secretary
Peter Barrett
I am a student in Politics and International Relations at the University of Reading. I am passionate about debating and take part in both RUMUN and the Reading Debate society weekly as well as in competition. I show extreme interest in current affairs particularly of course concerning International Relations. As the Executive Secretary, I am in charge of letting everyone know what is going on, take note and help with the organization of the training sessions as well ax the trip to conferences. Also, i am in charge of the website and Facebook group maintenance. The MUN is an expanding experience both humanly and for your CV. I have learned so much thanks to this opportunity, I cannot imagine people would refuse to take part!
National and International Conference Officer

National Conference Officer I am in charge of organizing both trips to MUN conferences in the UK (Bath MUN, MUNEX, OXIMUN...) and the home conference at Reading if it were to take place. I am also in charge of the finance for these events.
